Rookwood Cemetery is currently undergoing significant road works in the older section of the cemetery. Please be aware that there are road detours and closures near Necropolis Drive and the East Street (Lidcombe side) Gate entrance.
ROAD CLOSURES (No Public Access)
Necropolis Drive remains closed between Hawthorne Ave and Haslam Drive.
Oliver Avenue is closed between Necropolis Circuit and Barnet Avenue.
Farrer Ave is closed between Necropolis Circuit and Weekes Avenue.
We would encourage the use of the Weeroona Road/Centenary Drive (Strathfield side) entrance/exit whilst these detours are in place for easier access to the Catholic Cemeteries sections.
