New limits on Funeral Attendance 25 March 2020

New measures announced by Prime Minister Scott Morrison on the evening of 24 March 2020 limit attendance at funerals to ten people. These restrictions are designed to mitigate the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19).
We will continue to provide burial, cremation and interment services, and will continue to maintain safe and accessible cemetery grounds.
However, we have implemented some changes to the way we deliver our services to ensure we provide a safe environment for our team and clients and comply with governments new restrictions:
All funerals and funeral functions scheduled to take place from 26 March 2020 onwards will be subject to a maximum of 10 people in attendance per funeral with strict adherence to the 4m2 social distancing obligations.
This number includes funeral directors, celebrants, and applies to both indoor and outdoor services.
Chapel Services
A maximum of 10 people will be allowed inside a chapel during the service. This is inclusive of funeral director staff, clergy/celebrant, mourners and a cemetery team member.
Please note: No additional mourners or attendees will be allowed to assemble outside the chapel.
Gravesite Services
A maximum of 10 people will be allowed at the gravesite. This is inclusive of funeral director staff, clergy/celebrant, mourners and a cemetery team members.
Please note: No additional mourners or attendees will be allowed to assemble around or near the gravesite.
Funeral Functions/Wakes
A maximum of 10 people will be allowed inside an onsite condolence/function room.
Those attending any funeral or function must practise safe social distancing requirements and observe the 4m2 distancing requirements and avoid congregating in large groups anywhere within our cemeteries.
Please note that as of midnight Thursday 27 March 2020, NSW Police will introduce on the spot fines for corporations and individuals that do not comply with social distancing directives including those associated with funerals.
Reduced face to face contact
Our reception areas at all sites will be closed from Wednesday 26 March 2020 and access provided to our offices by appointment only. Attendees at appointments will be restricted to a maximum of two people per family.
