Kemps Creek Cemetery and Crematorium is managed by Catholic Cemeteries & Crematoria and serves all denominations in the general community. The 10 hectares of colonial parklands offers the community a rural alternative to other cemeteries in built up areas.
Catholic Cemeteries & Crematoria are unique from other cemeteries in that they are part of the ministry of the Church. As former Archbishop Pell noted “The Catholic Cemeteries Board provides a vital service to the Church in maintaining places which lead all who pass through them to reflect on their own pilgrim journey and the immeasurable gift of eternal life given to all by a loving God “
The Kemps Creek Cemetery & Crematorium:
- Is conveniently located only 15 minutes’ drive from Liverpool, Penrith, Fairfield and Blacktown
- Offers a natural landscape with tranquil lake views surrounded by native bushland
- Celebrates All Souls Day each year with the blessing of graves and families picnicking in the grounds after the mass
- Has Sydney’s first natural burial park on site, with no formal headstones or monuments. Graves are unmarked and GPS technology is used to accurately record locations for future visits
Stephen Stewart, the Western Region Manager is very excited by the new developments at Kemps Creek that will see new burial areas for different community groups “The more we can help the local community, the more they will continue to support us. People who come to Kemps Creek Cemetery want to come, because they know we will look after them and their loved ones. We will always provide the caring and understanding customer service we are renowned for”
