Dying to Know Day is designed to encourage all Australians to develop new knowledge and attitudes about how to deal with death, dying and bereavement and supporting each other at the end of life. It inspires local initiatives and promotes information to enable all Australians to discuss and plan their wishes. Planning ahead means we have the opportunity to communicate what we do and don’t want for our final goodbye.
Catholic Cemeteries & Crematoria will be holding a Dying to Know Day event on Saturday 13 August 2016 starting at Joseph Medcalf Funeral Directors at 10am and includes a mortuary tour and information on changing trends in the funeral industry.
It then proceeds to the Mary, Mother of Mercy Chapel, Rookwood Cemetery starting at 12pm for a crematorium tour, talks on wills and estate planning and afternoon tea. This is a great opportunity for members of the community to see what really happens at a funeral home and cemetery and ask any questions that may have, to better help them plan their final tribute.
Please RSVP to either Joseph Medcalf’s on 9740 5642 or email us at marketing@catholiccemetries.com.au
